Now, the guys at Dumouchel start even earlier than us! In the small hours of the day, at a traditional French boulangerie based near Garforth, the team prepares and bakes a gorgeous range of speciality breads including the rolls, loaves and pastries we have on offer in the Woods.
The bread that we use for our sandwiches is fresh, firm and fat free. Yes you heard it FAT FREE!! "But how?" I hear you ask. Simple. No fat is added. Just the pure, raw finest ingredients from France and Yorkshire. With nothing artificial added and being left to rise naturally for 24 hours, the end product is bread like it should be.
The pastries are equally as good, baked fresh every day with the unmistakable and authentic tase of France.
Thierry Dumouchel is their head baker, expert chocolatier and Yorkshire Chef of the Year 2010, he's worked all over the world and now trains the skill of craft bakery to people from countries all over the world.
